Puzzled by bitness

I have owned a lifetime licence for XYPlorer for many years. I started to update the software today and saw that it was about to update the 32-bit version, which was a complete surprise to me - I would have sworn it was 64-bit. I checked "About", and saw it was indeed 27.20.0600 (32-bit). I have no idea why it's not 64-bit, but I downloaded the 64-bit zipfile, extracted the installer EXE, and started the update process. The first dialog stated it was a 30-day free trial version.

I have always updated from within the software menu, and it always seamlessly handles the proper licencing. So I aborted the update process.

Will running the 64-bit installer retain my licence, and will it retain all my customized settings?

Done. Thanks.
I had hesitated to install the package because of the dialog box that it displays. It mentions a 30-day free trial, without saying anything about preserving the previous licence.

Okay, the next installer will add this: "If you already have a license, the update will not affect your license or settings."
