I am using Xnview for the Floating Preview. Love it. Use it all day long.
Specifically, when viewing PDFs (maddeningly, not with every file, just most of them), I can briefly see the content while selecting a file, but then it immediately fades to total black. The file is there, since I can scroll up/down inside the floating preview, and the file becomes fully visible, until the next refresh...
Drives me crazy.
Any suggestions?

1) Do you see the same in 32-bit XY?

2) Don't you have a specialized PDF editor/viewer? AFAIK Xnview is rather an image viewer.

2) I use it periodically to traverse through folders with working files. It allows me to determine where to move the files to, if it is not obvious by the title.
Or are you suggesting a different viewer through xyplorer? How would I do that?

I cannot say anything about Xnview and PDFs, but I have the PDF-XChange Viewer installed since forever and never had any issues with PDF preview or thumbnails.

What does "using Xnview for the Floating Preview" mean?

I changed the "open with" so that PDF-XChange is the first in the list, the floating preview picked it up and it now works flawlessly. Thank you both so much!!

The Floating Preview is not controlled by the open with sequence or contents, but congrats anyway!
