Introduction
Favoritos is a simple script to display the items in your favorite folders/files list and then start the selected item.

Instructions
Simply download and load the Favoritos.xys script. By default, it will display the items in both the favorite folders and files list.

At the top of the script are a couple variables you can switch between true/false...
  • $shortenPathCaptions: If no caption has been defined, this will shorten the displayed name of the favorite items to only the Parent\Name of the path. Useful to avoid a bunch of horizontal scrolling.
  • $sortAlphabeticaly will sort the favorites alphabetically, otherwise the folders will be listed before the files.
At the bottom of the list there are a few options to quickly access your list of favorites, as-well as an item to toggle the current item as a favorite... The toggle only kinda works for folders, since it uses XY command #565, which seems to act on the <curpath> instead of the selected list item... Maybe I'll use a work-around at some point :veryconfused: ...

If you would like to display only the items in the Favorite Folders list, you'll need to set a global variable before loading the script.

Code: Select all

::perm $P_FAVORITOS_TYPE = "folders"; load "<xyscripts>\Favoritos.xys";
To display only the items in the Favorite Files list, set the variable to files

Code: Select all

::perm $P_FAVORITOS_TYPE = "files"; load "<xyscripts>\Favoritos.xys";

It's the other way round in the script. Line 24:

$favoritesList = $favoriteFolders . ':::SEPERATOR:::' . $favoriteFiles;

Whoops, yeah you're right. I've updated my local copy a bit, so when I next push the update I'll include the patch :tup:

I have far less favorite files than folders, so it made sense to list files first... Though I guess the order would be better off as a toggle on a per-user basis...
