The image editing application Snagit has a view called LIBRARY, which is a calendar-based file browse tree. This view displays the month as a folder and each day as a subfolder, allowing you to search for images by month and by day.

This idea could be used to create Xyplorer, not only for browsing images but also for specific file types.

Looks nice, but since NTFS is not built like this, opening any little branch of this tree would mean to browse the whole file system.
