not sure wether bug or not

happens only for psd files
happens with Icaros and Sagethumbs

once i close XY , RAM frees up instantly( see blue line attached )
its on a 64g RAM system

accumulation while processing 5000 psd files ..

XY v28.00.0500 (Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit, 22H2.19045.6456) 24GB RAM; 125% Scaling, 3840 x 2160)

Happens with many other image formats (png, jpg, avif, etc.) from generating or viewing thumbnails by the thousands. Eventually throws error dialog window from XY. However, it's impossible to capture the screen or copy the information due to screen going blank and system becomes non-responsive.

I don't know if XY saves the XY error dialog window (error data to a file) and flushes the associated file buffer BEFORE it displays the XY error dialog window, but if not, highly recommended. I cannot even with a camera handy take a photo when the event occurs before the screen goes blank (black) and system non-responsive.

for me its literally only psd files

like i can let it run on 20K 4K MOV/MP4 files , no problem

with PNG JPG etc i also can do like 50K no problem

i have ICAROS cover most extensions , and SageThumbs the leftovers

edit : it DOES affect videos also , though less severe , it can do 20K - 30K videos until RAM gets into the 75% range ...

Can you roughly remember what the error dialog says?

1) Does it make a difference if you change the size of the thumbnails? (Can you do more of them if they are smaller?)

2) It only happens with the 64-bit version, right?

never done dedicated mass thumbin on x32 . happens very fast with psd ,, hapens slowly with other filetypes
