Paste option missing in right-click menu when copying files from RDP session to XYplorer 64-bit
Posted: 19 Oct 2025 21:38
Description:
When copying a file from a Remote Desktop (RDP) session (for example, using Windows File Explorer inside the remote desktop) and trying to paste it on the host machine in XYplorer 64-bit, the Paste option does not appear in the right-click context menu.
The issue only affects the 64-bit version of XYplorer — in the 32-bit version, the Paste option appears and works as expected.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open a Remote Desktop connection to another Windows machine.
- Inside the RDP session, copy a file (e.g., using Windows File Explorer and Ctrl+C).
- On the host machine, switch to XYplorer 64-bit and right-click in a folder where you want to paste the file.
- Observe that the Paste option is missing from the context menu.
Additional notes:
- The file can still be pasted using Ctrl + V or the Paste button in XYplorer’s toolbar.
- The same procedure works fine in XYplorer 32-bit.
- Clipboard redirection between host and RDP session is enabled and works normally in other applications.
- Same issue when using a remote connection with AnyDesk software.
Expected behavior:
The Paste option should appear in the right-click context menu in XYplorer 64-bit when a file is copied from an RDP session, just as it does in the 32-bit version.
