I would like to be able to restore the last session when restarting XYplorer. Apparently, this obvious behavior is currently not possible since the active tab is replaced by the "permanent startup path", thus causing the last session not to be restored.

Stop using "permanent startup path" and problem solved.

There's no checkbox to disable "permanent startup path". So, how is the problem solved?

If you hover over "Permanent startup path:" text you will see a tooltip "Leave empty to always use last path".

Just delete the path(s).

That tooltip text should also say that "Dual Permanent Startup Path" is possible using double pipe. C:\||D:\
