File copy/move failure under certain limited conditions

I am using XYplorer 28.00.0000. In certain limited conditions file copy/move by drag-and-drop fails. Here are the details:
Two XYPlorer windows open.
One is displaying a local drive.
The other displaying a network drive pointing to a UNC.
If I point to a file in the network drive and hold and drag to the local drive in the other XYplorer window nothing happens. File is not copied/moved, etc.
If I point to a file in the local drive and hold and drag to the network drive in the other XYplorer window the file is copied.
If I do this in a single XYplorer window everything works fine, i.e., I can copy a file from the network drive to the local drive.
The action that is failing in 28.00.0000 used to work fine in all the old (32-bit) versions going back years. The last 32-bit version I used was 27.10.0900.
