XYplorer64 28.00 "Cannot decode" flac, m4a, ogg audio files

My portable install of XYplorer64 28.00 can preview wav, mp3, and ac3 audio files but cannot preview flac, aac/m4a, or ogg audio files … I get a message in the preview window saying "Cannot decode." My standard install of XYplorer32 27.20 can preview/play all audio files.

flac, aac/m4a, and ogg are all listed and selected in the "Previewed Formats" Configuration settings, so I would think they would work.

Am I missing something?

Thanks.

No x64 codecs for those file formats? K-Lite Codec package installed?

I thought that XYplorer preview worked with any audio format natively supported by Windows 11, which includes flac and aac/m4a, but I take it that's not the case? I'll try adding x64 codecs and see how it goes … thanks.

Does Windows Explorer preview these formats: flac, aac/m4a, and ogg?

I installed the 64-bit components of LAV Filters 0.80 and all is well. Thanks.
