Version Check Once a Week

Instead of just a checkbox to check the version every time XYPlorer is opened, could another option be to check once a week?
I open and close XYPlorer several dozen times a day and sometimes it takes longer to check the version than others and gets annoying.
But I don't really want to turn off the automatic version check and I think once a week is more than sufficient.
