Hi,

When I rename files in XYPlorer and input Chinese characters with the IME, an error message pops up:

Invalid file name This is not a valid file name:
20250822 B1????
The following characters are not allowed: \ / : * ? " < > 1

Strangely, if I copy and paste the name to rename, it works fine.

Moreover, this problem occurred suddenly; it was normal before.

Do you have any solutions? Thanks.

Suddenly after an upgrade? Which version worked?

2) Is this ticked?
Configuration | General | Controls & More | Miscellaneous | Enable surround selection
If yes, does it make a difference if you untick it?

3) So far, I haven't heard anything from the thousands of other users in China. Can anyone there confirm this issue?
