HI.
I need to add a suffix at the end of the file's names.
i.e the file "sample.pdf " change to sample_suffix.pdf

How to make this please.. anyone help with script..

Okay. but i have 6 different suffix names and 1000s files are there to workon..
if we can make a script, i can assign diffrent shorcut keys for desired Suffixes.

The hidden message in my reply was that you have been in this forum for 13 years. Even if you still cannot script this easy task yourself, you can easily find a solution here if you just take the time to look for it.

Okay admin . delete the post, I found it how to make it.

A bit late for a reply - but I use "Bulk Rename Utility" a brilliant, very comprehensive and best of all free program that once installed appears in the right click menu of Xyplorer. Although scripts can do the job this program is far, far better and much simpler to use.

XYplorer has its own powerful batch rename. No need for 3rd party stuff.

XY does bulk renaming, too... and - as far as I remember - does offer most of those options, too. I haven't used any of those external tools (and I do have a bunch, bulk renamer included) in a while, because:

Why should I use an external tool, if XY (which is one of the first tools opened every time I turn on my computer, laptop or any device I plug my portable SSD into) is already running and perfectly capable of doing those renames by itself?

We already have Batch Replace, Regex Replace, Search and Replace and Letter Replace... There's rarely a need for anything besides those. And even then, most of the problems can be solved using XY-Scripting.
