Reinstalled Dropbox, can't see dropbox folder in XYplorer

Hi all
I have a weird issue with Dropbox and XYplorer after I have to reinstall it.
I choose to locate Dropbox in a folder called apps so:
z:\home\{username}\apps\Dropbox
In XYplorer I cannot see it natively (please see 1.png) but if I paste the full path into the address bar (z:\home\{username}\apps\Dropbox) I do see it (please see 2.png)!
I've combed through the settings but can't see what I am doing wrong.
I've also reinstalled XYplorer (including old versions) but still no joy.
Any ideas?

Enter it into the address bar and hit the enter key.

Ok, so it's not a problem because of a ghost filter...
Show a screenshot of the submenu for: Menu - View - Show Items

Turning that on reveals a shortcut to Dropbox with the Dropbox logo!
Sorry - didn't realise that this Dropbox link is a "junction" - which TBH I am not familiar with.
I am pretty sure it didn't appear with the DB logo before, and instead appeared as a regular "yellow" OS folder. Maybe something has changed with the Dropbox installation? It creates a junction whereas before it didn't?

and yet my google drive icon is a folder icon, not with a shortcut symbol:

Some software create junctions when moving their data folder, some don't...
