Hi everybody,

I can’t get rid of the "Batch rename" window showing up when I select the last folder or file and clic on F2 to rename it. Why does XYplorer proposes batch renaming for a single item selected ? It makes no sense.

What I did to stop this (but nothing worked) :

Configuration / General / Sort and Rename :

• Serial rename with Up and Down keys : unchecked

• Use dialog to rename single items : unchecked

Tools / Customize keyboard shortcuts :

• Batch rename : nothing

• Rename : F2

It’s really bothering, so I would be grateful for any help...

XY version?
Does it also happen with a fresh instance (type fresh; into the address bar, press {ENTER} and try it there)?

Menu - Window - Show Address Bar
Toggle it off and on...

I found it. Answer is : Not Found: Location or Item (fresh)

Windows Explorer shows up.

Sorry but I doubt that Windows Explorer is started when executing this command...

You are right. The window which shows up has a layout which is pretty similar, but it’s Xyplorer. I’m sorry !
I have tested : Batch rename shows up again.

and capture a small gif animation of what you're doing (in the fresh instance!) and attach it to your next post

It’s astonishing, but it seem’s to work now. I have restarted my pc, opened XYplorer and tested, the Batch Rename does not show up again.
If it happens again I will use ScreenToGif and post the video. Until then (hope it won’t be necessary !) thanks a lot for your help !
