As u now implemented Hardlink copy/paste support also, I'd wish u could probably add one neat feature:
It's the feature called "HardLink Clones" on Hermann's page. It will allow me to copy a folder/folderstructure, and I can paste it as hardlink (well, it just copies the folder structure, but all files included will be hardlinks - fine, isn't it?)

What do u think, Don? You would have to add it under "Paste special" (well U know that!)

I think this is the perfect job for a shell extension. Isn't Hermann's good enough?

well it is.

just thought, when u have some free time , as u have added hardlink support, this would be a nice additional add. But I can happily live with Hermanns RMB-options (although not working so good in the XY list view like they do in Windows explorer)

Hey Don,

I recently found that WindowsExplorer shows Hardlinked files different from "standard" files.
I find this very useful, as it gives me a good hint for handling these.

Do u think this would be possible in any future version?

it must be some 3rd party app doing it.
at least on xp.

btw, can xy create junctions?
just checking, since i use ntfs link for that.

No, not create. But show the target in file info tips, and color them.

"Link Shell Extension has built in overlay icons for junctions and hardlinks."

Also concerning RMB-context menu, only support in WindowsExplorer:
In Windows 2000 and XP Hardlinks can also be dropped via an Action button click in the "white space" of Windows Explorer's right pane and choosing Drop HardLink from the popup menu. It should be noted this feature is only guaranteed to work in Windows Explorer; many Explorer replacements implement an application specific white space action menu that is not readily accessible from general purpose shell extensions such as LSE.

Can we get access to that shell extension features?

Answer is no. XY supports hardlink creation natively. (in menu paste special)
