In the latest 64 bit version, the UI font it's always displayed with ClearType=ON even if OS global setting it's OFF.
Only the menu it's respecting this setting. The rest, no.
32 bit version it's OK.

1) That wasn't the case in the version before that, i.e. in v27.00.0912?
2) Why do you have ClearType turned off?

1. all 64 bit versions have this issue.
2. I always used ClearType OFF in OS because when it's ON the fonts are too blurry for me.
I kindly ask you to make font rendering in 64 bit version to behave like 32 bit version (which respect OS global setting).
Thank you.

You are probably already aware of this, but until this gets looked at, you could try running cttune.exe to try and improve it with ClearType turned on.

Any ETA on a fix for this? I knew something looked off when I switched to the 64-bit version...

Can you illustrate the issue with a screenshot?

Top is 64-bit. Bottom is 32-bit. Notice the color fringing?

1) Sorry, but I need screenshots in the original size.
2) Talk about the fonts you are using.
3) Why do you want ClearType off? Just curious.

I legitimately feel like I'm being trolled.
1. Why? I blew the screenshots up so you can better see the difference between the older and newer version of the program.
2. It's XYplorer's default fonts...
3. Because I don't like how it looks?
You said that the issue is "on my list" in July. So did you decide that this no longer a bug and that ClearType should be forced?

Well, the issue has been reported to tB on 7/11/25. They are working on it.

As soon as I installed the 64-bit version of 28.00.xxxx my eyes went crazy. Please return the ability to have ClearType OFF in the 64-bit version. I do not understand why someone would want it on, it just makes everything blurry and text not fully crisp. Sticking with the 32-bit version for now. Thank you.

If the monitor is set to its native solution, and you select the best looking version in Clear type settings
there are no such problems as you describe and in your screenshot.
I guess many users have clear type on and there would be a lot of complaints in the forums.

Can we please just push a fix for this ASAP. I can't think of a single program that forces ClearType on its users.

Don asked for original size screenshots almost a month ago and you haven't done so. Yet you keep asking for it to be fixed. In order to get some respect, when a developer asks for further information in regards to an issue you're having, ignoring the request won't work in your favor.
