File Copy/Move: Windows File Transfer dialog box does not appear
Posted: 29 Jun 2025 06:43
Hello,
I just updated to v27.00.0800 from v26.70.0500, Windows 11 Pro desktop computer.
Whenever I copy/move a file from one folder to another, whether on the same drive or not, the Windows File Transfer dialog box only appears and shows the progress on the first operation after opening a new instance of XYplorer; subsequent copies/moves do not show the dialog box. And I do mean instance: if I right-click on the taskbar icon of the already open program and select the program again, thus opening a second instance, and then do a copy/move operation from that instance of the program, the dialog box will show, but will not show for subsequent operations.
I noticed this behavior in v26.70.0500 though I am not sure when it started, perhaps a month or two ago, my apologies for not having reported this sooner.
Also my apologies if this has been previously reported, I did a cursory search of this forum and did not any related topics posted.
When I did a Google search for this issue I came across this Reddit thread, while not about XYplorer I wasn't sure if anything in the thread would be helpful or not:
https://www.reddit.com/r/OneCommander/c ... r_showing/
This issue seems to be a Windows change/problem, not an XYplorer issue.
Thank you for such a wonderful program!
Cheers,
Matthew
