Dual, triple, quadruple pane and beyond

A couple of feature wishes I have to improve on an already superb file manager:
  • Allow tabs to be torn off of the window to create a new instance of XYPlorer with the tab. Ideally, one control process would handle all the open XYPlorer windows rather than a unique instance each time - although that might be a substantial change.
  • Instead of being restricted to a Dual pane, it would be amazing if the files area could be split any number of times and in any direction, like in the new File Pilot. So, if you had one pane visible you could drag a tab to the right half and split it to make 2, then take another tab and drag it below the second pane to make a third, and so on.
  • Allow the path breadcrumb to change into an address bar when clicked after path buttons - this would allow the removal of the main address bar (optional setting).
I'm guessing that now we're getting closer to a x64 version these modern enhancements could be possible?

The possibility is not affected by bitness, but the probability increases after the 64-bit edition is completed.

Sure, I understand. I was just thinking that with the codebase migrating to Twin Basic it might open up a lot more possibilities.
