Folder sizes constantly recalculating (when I move the window, delete a folder, sort by a different item)

I am still trying to learn this program even though I have been using it for almost 2 years now.
One thing that really impedes my workflow is the constant calculation of folder sizes. Yes, I know this feature can be taken off and that there is also "Show Cached folder sizes" but I do not understand why this program always has to recalculate the folder sizes for all folders when I just change the sorting criterion (sort by name, instead of size), or when I move the program window or when I delete a file. Pretty much everything I do starts a new folder calculation and on my huge 20 tb drives this takes a while each time.

Also, when I tell the program to cache the folder sizes and show only cached sizes, it only lists a portion of the files, even though the program calculated all the folder sizes previously.

How can I get this program to stop recalculating folder sizes after every action?

How can I have this program remember he cached sizes for all the files it has previously calculated and display it consistently?

Is there a setting to allow this program to take up more memory so it can remember folder sizes?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Everything you mentioned should not be happening and is not happening here. Something is wrong.

1) What version of XY and Windows are you running?

2) Just to be sure: Do you want to see the folder sizes at all?
