Error when using floating preview

I downloaded highend's gif from this thread.

I can preview it using the floating preview, but if I open the floating preview on another file and then use the up/down keys to view several files in turn, when I get to highend's gif, I get the error

The error does not occur when using Show Preview Pane.

How can I help track this issue down?

The next version will show the exact error line number in the error message.

(No issue here as well)

Strange, it's a different error now although I did not change any code here. Does the preview work anyway after you OK the error?

No.

The dialog stays open but the display still shows the previous file. Then when I arrow again, the next file displays correctly.

Out of ideas.

A couple of findings:

- it happens with any animated gif
- ONLY when the previous file is a zip file (so far, anyway)

Aha, that about zip was a magical bit of information. Should be fixed in the next beta.

Sorry I didn't notice that important fact sooner. :(

Confirmed fixed in v27.00.0005. Thank you.

I still don't quite understand the connection. Something in Windows' backyard is not being cleaned up properly. The preview of both ZIPs and animated GIFs is handled by the shell and something spills over.
