Problem installing and running Xyplorer

Can anyone offer some advice for a problem I have loading XYplorer on my desktop machine? System I am using is Windows XP SR3. I have administrator rights and system is standalone.
Dowloaded most recent version of Xyplorer (I have a lifetime licence) and followed instructions to register using key.
Did all this and tried to load. Didn't load. Repeated this several times. No joy. Disabled Norton and tried again - still nothing. In directory no sign of xyplorer.ini file. Copied full directory from laptop to desktop program files folder, correcting script for this system, closed down and re-started but again nothing.

Any good ideas out there?

I'm confused here, what do you mean by "followed instructions to register using key" ?? I thought that was to be done from XY, so if you can't have it to start how did you do register your copy ? :?

If XY doesn't even start, if must be some kind of DLL dependencies missing or something I'd say, but I'm sure you already went over this making sure the VB6 runtime was installed (usually the case on XP I think though). Do you know if other VB6 application work on that system ?

Thanks Jacky. Just to clarify, I followed instructions to register but couldn't even load the file to use the key. Still can't load it.
