lost most of my locked tabs in xyplorer windows 10

I lost about 15 or 20 highly renamed valuable tabs. In the middle of file moving and hand sorting, there was a click, and the tabs were gone.
After some checking, I elected to exit without saving. On restarting, the tabs remained gone. Then I tried go-back in XY, and that clearly did not work either.
Did a Bing and a Google - this has been a problem for others this year. The Revert to Saved did not have any answers. I have done nothing special to save locked tabs because I thought they were safe 'being locked.' I did this kind of backup C:\Users\bob9\AppData\Roaming\XYplorer\ using sync software. I prefer to do a win-10 go-back but I do not know if this would repair XY.
Any suggestions - anyone?

We're not aware of any problems with disappearing tabs. Of course, you can actively remove tabs, switch tab sets, or delete the files containing tab-related configuration data. If you have a previous backup (File | Settings Special | Backup Application Data Folder...) it is no problem to restore everything (File | Settings Special | Restore Application Data Folder...).
Only you know what backups you have. I can't tell you what a "win-10 go-back" will do (but I would be careful with this).

Thanks for the reply. The Restore Application Data Folder - restored one data folder but not THE folder. It was a few months old and Jupe had helped me resolve some conflicts within XY - and that would have been lost. I resorted to other measures outside of XY.
Looking at Settings Special #180 - I'm very interested. All the Save alternatives. I attempted to look up if #193 would save everything. I thought we had a way to F1 by the numbers by the numbers. Am I mistaken?

In this menu, "Configuration" refers only to XYplorer.ini. The tab information is not stored here, but in the pane.ini files of the current tabset of both panes. I would recommend to backup the whole settings from time to time with File | Settings Special | Backup Application Data Folder....

Beautiful!
Does this back up everything?
Is this a single file I can copy to my backup PC and have everything available except screen size?
Is there a way to automate this and store it automatically? Or in a perfect world, the last say five configurations?
(I was out yesterday - sorry.)

Not a single file, but a single folder.

Is there any limitation on naming that folder and Where it is saved?

Or create a browser link to the online PDF User Manual so you'll always have access to the latest version...

Whatever Update regimen you are following, the F1 help will more likely show you what is possible with your currently installed version.
