Hi,

since the update to 26.30 my live filter is a bit buggy. Filtering for files works like a charm but not filtering for folders. I have to write my filter text, then click into the explorer window and press F5. Only then the filter will work for folders. So the auto refresh does not work correctly. But when i delete one letter in the live filter box the list is autorefreshed and the filter works.

And no, I have not activated the function to only filter files.

What exactly do you mean when you say that filtering doesn't work for folders?

I attached a video to show you what I mean.

1) You say you didn't but this very much looks like Configuration | Find and Filter | Filters & Type Ahead Find | Visual Filters and Live Filter Box | Apply to files only is ticked.

2) Why do you press Refresh? Not necessary.

1) It is not ticked (see screenhot)
2) I have to refresh so the filter will work on folders.

this problem is happening since i updated to 26.30. I have not made any changes in the configuration sind many months.

I just tried different things and it seems that the branch view is the promlem. I can use the live filter without any issues. But as soon as I use the branch view for one time the live filter does not work for folders (see gif)

In that case I have a hot tip for you. Untick this: Configuration | Find and Filter | Find Files & Branch View | Branch View | Let folders pass all filters

YES it works. I don't know why this never happended before the update but thanks a lot! Apparently it still thinks I am in branch view after I disabled the branch view.

You mean you cannot turn off BV?

He can but the live filter behaves as if bv is still turned on

Configuration | Find and Filter | Find Files & Branch View | Branch View | Let folders pass all filters -> active
1. start XYPlorer
2. use live filter -> works for files and folders
3. use branch view
4. deactivate branch view
4. use live filter -> only works for files, not for folders

--> so apparently xyplorer still thinks I am in branch view even though I deactivated branch view.
