Cant use XYplorer whil copying files... only on one PC, but another PC works fine

Ok so I use XYplorer on my personal home desktop, personal laptop, and my work desktop. Had to say that for the rest of this to be explained fully.
On my work desktop, any or every time I am copying files from one pane to another (or one XYp instance to another XYp instance) i always get the generic error about "...not responding.." with the2 of the 3 buttons showing up. The Switch To... button and the Retry button show up on the popup that i can click, but clicking either one does nothing really at all.... The cancel button on the popup is always greyed out.
and I basically have to wait until the file(s) are finished copying to do anything. or even click anywhere within the xyplorer window without getting another error popup box
BUT...
When i perform the exact same file coping on my home desktop or home laptop, using the exact same updated version of 64bit xyplorer, I do not get this error. I can have anywhere from 1-3 or 4 (or even more i assume also just never tried) file copying operations simultaneously going on and I'm still allowed and fully able to use both panes or both instances of xyplorer and change or go to different paths/directories, open/close new and old tabs, open settings windows, etc etc. with no problem at all.
For the life of me i cannot figure out whats going on. I've meticulously gone through the settings line by line group by group to compare all the settings and see if anything is different between office and home locations' xyplorer settings, and i've read through more then enough of the manual/help file looking for answers and cannot find anything. I've tried searching on google to no success at all. Even figuring out exactly what phrase or words or groups of words and/or terms to use in a search for this problem is daunting itself.
I've tried everything except make a post here so this is why I'm finally posting this here. I always even forgot these forums exist until i have a big problem and I feel stupid when I remember to myself... "umm dude go to the freakin xy forums lol"
does anyone know what im talking about? This specific issue? and how to fix it on my work pc so that xyplorer behaves the same as my home desktop and laptop?

I been dealing with this awhile and just never got around to finding help and im past the point of being annoyed by it now and starting to get ticked off.
