Only very recently, rather than go back to last directory, it always brings me now to C:\

Same issue if I use toolbar or keyboard shortcut.

Using version 24.30.0100

Test it with the current version 26.10.0200 & if it happens there as well, it might get fixed in future versions but not for a vintage 24.xx.

Can't reproduce.

Issue still exists with update to v26. I think I've isolated the issue to folders that are tied to Microsoft OneDrive.

For example,

If I go to C:\Test1, then jump to C:\Test2, when I use the "Back" function, it works correctly.

However, if I go to C:\Test1 and then I go to C:\Users\Chris\OneDrive, Back always takes me to C:\Users\Chris rather than back to C:\Test1

Define "I go to". Is that in the same tab?

That is correct, all in the same tab

When I say "go to", all of the following apply:

-Clicking on an item in the XYPlorer Catalog that directs me to a folder
-Using the XYPlorer Titlebar -> Go -> Go to... -> manually entering folder location
-Clicking a *.lnk file that directs me to a folder
-Manually entering a folder location in the XYPlorer Address Bar

If helpful, I'd be happy to produce a screen capture / video of the bug.

One thing to add that I've just discovered.

If I go into XYPlorer History (Titlebar -> Go -> History...), its showing that each time I browse to a location in the OneDrive folder, its first going to the root location of the OneDrive folder.

What that tells me is that the XYPlorer Back function is working as intended. The issue is with how XYPlorer actually navigates to subfolders within OneDrive folders. Behind the scenes its accessing the root folder, creating an additional History item and therefore to the user experience making the Back function seem like its not working properly.

Just to be sure, the problem only occurs when you go back to subfolders of the OneDrive folder, right?

Can anyone else confirm this?

No can't confirm. What happens if you enable this:

Configuration | General | Refresh, Icons, History | History | History without duplicates

Does not fix.

For some additional information, I actually have two OneDrive's active on my PC (one for work, one for personal). They run in separate system tray icons (one is grey, one is blue).

The locations of those OneDrive's are as follows:

Personal: C:\OneDrive\
Work: C:\Users\Me\OneDrive - Company Name\

When I "Go To" any folder in my Personal OneDrive, per the information I'm gathering from the XYPlorer History function, it always goes to "C:\" before going to that folder.

When I "Go To" any folder in my Work OneDrive, per the information being gathered from the XYPlorer History function, it always goes to C:\Users\Me\ before going to that folder.

So in both instances, despite folder depth, its going first travelling through the parent of the OneDrive folder.

Correct for me. But as mentioned, I don't think the issue is actually with the Back function anymore. I beleive XYPlorer has an issue with how it navigates through OneDrive folders. When I go to any OneDrive subfolder, behind the scenes I beleive XYPlorer is actually quickly first jumping to the parent folder of the OneDrive folder before going to the desired folder. This wouldnt be an issue to the user as you don't see it occuring other than (a) it shows up in History, and (b) it ruins the intended result of the Back function.

Okay, the report seems to be work in progress. Let's wait a few days and see how it develops.
