Q regarding "Branch view (only Folders)" and "Go to Focused Item"

I am (re)organizing thousands of photos positioned in a deep structure containing many hundreds of folders on at least three depth levels (some 24 years of photos). While doing that I have noticed the following (which I think is by no means new - it is just that I have been using this more often lately)...
1. I fill the Live Filter Box with a string I search for
2. Then I activate Branch View / Only folders
3. After all are found (for instance, in my case 4 out of hundreds), I right click on each one and select "Go to Focused Item in New Tab"
At that moment it seems as if a new scanning of the whole structure is taking place (as noticeable in the status line). It is only when this is over that subdirectory (with its siblings on the same level) are shown in the new tab, as expected.
I would not expect that that "rescanning" is necessary. (But maybe it really is because of some other possible circumstances, which I did not think about.) In case it is not necessary, maybe it would be possible to eliminate that step easily.
