when you refresh the search list, the search will be canceled, but if the search has /flat, /flatfiles switch you can update list without losing search

so, why not apply this switch by default on perform search or make refresh button function as repeat last search on search lists

Just mentioning, you can use "cache search results" to be more safe about refreshes of the search results tab.

What I'm talking about is click refresh button clears search results, specifically happens to the quick search results

Because I think it's expected like this. It's been like this always, and nobody ever complained.

There is a special command Repeat Last Search that you can use.
