12,000 folders ? You mean files? Thumbnails?

It's a folder with nearly 12,000 subfolders. When I go to another tab, and then go back to that folder, I have to wait for the "created thumb" process to run through all over again.

So that's in a branch view?

How many files are thumbnailed? Or is it about folder thumbnails?

No, just thumbnail view. And this regards the generation of folder thumbnails.

From what I can figure, this is happening because:

1. There are a ton of folders being processed, which is interfering with performance, and what I'm actually seeing is XYplorer struggling to load everything despite the bottom bar suggesting that thumbs are in the process of being generated.

Or:

2. The folder includes files that are spread around a drivepool, which is somehow conflicting with the way thumbnails are read and/or saved.

If there is a problem you should get an error message.
