I would like to nest my favourite folders

Post by bobfleming »

Not sure if this feature already exists, but here goes...

My list of favourite folders is getting pretty long so I'm looking for a different way to structure them. Currently all faves are in a flat list:

fave folder 1
fave folder 2
--
fave folder 3
fave folder 4
--
fave folder 5

I was wondering if it was possible to nest the menu structure in which the folders appear, so that I could do something along the lines of:

Fave folders section 1 >
    fave folder 1
    fave folder 2
--
Fave folders section 2 >
    fave folder 3
    fave folder 4
--
fave folder 5

That's a fairly horrible representation of the sort of structure I'm thinking of, but think of this sort of set up already in the File menu and that's what I'm trying to convey:

If I may Add a Suggestion... Mini Tree from Favorite Folders (at appropriate Classified Position i.e. Fave folders section <x>)-with ability to search it... would also help the cause... :info:

You might wanna have a look at the catalog and its use for favorites.

Mini Tree from Favorite Folders is an idea. I wonder why it never came up. Actually, I could go one step further: Paper Tree (from Favorites or whatever)! (Mental note for the future)

Mini Tree from Favorite Folders as an idea is already doable (scripting). But als long as they don't have a natively stored hierarchy I'm unsure if this makes sense...

Right.

Here's another already existing option: the Hamburger in the Bread Crumb bar is good place to build a fave structure.

Not following you. What's the hamburger in the breadcrumb bar?

Follow-up: Ah, found it. Thanks, this looks intriguing.
