How to setup an alias as a shortcut to a directory

Is it possible to setup an alias as a shortcut to a directory? I have paths with spaces so I have tried to setup an alias pointing to a directory both in and out of quotes. I have not had any success in getting it to work.

The end target is to be able to use alias in a favorite folder list such that the naming convention is a simple label of each favorite location.

If someone has time, please advise if this is possible and how to set it up.

Thanks in Advance

Tools | List Management | Aliases...

Define one, e.g.:
win=C:\Program Files

Favorites | Manage Favorite Folders...
@win
