I'm going with 1 for now. I lose too many buttons on the toolbar on 2. Though as the default for new users, a 2 setting may be fine since they wouldn't have so many toolbar buttons (yet).

What works also depends on your screen size.

Very true. I have a 32" monitor in 2540x1440 and have 2 toolbars setup, but I have to starting using the 2 toolbars more often.

-2, I like it to be compact (more files visible at the same time)

I like the new airiness with 2 and only had to remove a few toolbar buttons that I hardly ever used anyway. :)

BTW, would "Overall spacing" be better than "General Spacing"?

Seems (to me) like a better wording for what it does

To me too, but I would like a native speaker's opinion.

Well, I am a native speaker and I agree that "overall" is better in this context than "general".

Hi eil, I think the original Xyplorer value was "0" based on what Don has in the beta v25.10.0110 notes.
The new factory default is 2, which is 2 more than in any previous version of the application.

Does the overall/general spacing relate to the toolbar only? The the only change I see when changing the option. Highend said he likes it more compact so he can see more files. Which makes me wonder what exactly is the spacing changing.

For the record, I'm currently using 0, but will be playing with it over the next few days.

Thanks.
