XYplorer stops when creating a new directory on a NAS (attached) drive

Issue: sometimes XYplorer stops when creating a new directory on a NAS (attached) drive.
Situation: I use two instances of XYplorer: one where I have a network drive (on a NAS) open, and another instance where I have a local drive open.
With the two instances I can easily move or copy files from the local drive to the network drive, say from C: to X:.
Between moving/copying files I will create new directories on the network drive, by using Ctrl-N and typing or copying the directory name and ENTER.
Usually this works perfectly fine, but at irregular intervals, 1 out of 10, two time in a row, in general quite often, XYplorer stops at the press of ENTER.
With 'stops' I mean the window just disappears, while the other instance stays.
When I restart the second instance, usually the new directory will be there, mostly with the given name, sometimes just 'New directory'.
I'm not sure whether this issue is caused by network connection issues, or NAS issues, but either way XYplorer should not quit.
Thanks in advance for solving the issue!

hi! this happens to me quite often as well and only when creating new folders on my NAS (Synology) (mapped as a network drive if that matters). same result, silent crash, no error message or log, re-open and a "New Folder" is there on the NAS.
i ended up getting frustrated with it and not being able to solve it, now i make my new folders locally and move them to the NAS.

I have several drives mapped on my Synology NAS and create new folders regularly - though not excessively - in XY without any of the described problems.
There must be some other factor to this.
Side question, why does the OP need two instances for the described workflow?
This could certainly be achieved within one instance with either two tabs or panes?

Can you get the same crash when you rename an existing folder and press ENTER?

Nothing? Here's a big chance now to fix that creating-new-folders-on-NAS-bug. Just try it with v25.10.0000 or later.

hi! as i mentioned i too was having this problem and did get used to making them local and moving them over to the NAS. i was hesitant to try making a folder directly on the NAS
when it would crash on me, it was random and i could not pinpoint anything that i was doing different. right-click / new folder, CTRL+N, press ENTER when done, click away when done, etc. - never could lock in on the exact combination.
however, since v25.10.0000+ i have been making new folders directly on the NAS using all the various methods and it has not crashed
i should be able to continue testing throughout the day as i have a big NAS-workload day planned.
thank you for looking into this and trying to help solve it.

Cool, thanks for testing! I had indeed made a small change, a shot in the dark as I could never reproduce it. So maybe that did it!

I have never experienced the issue when renaming existing folders, although I do not rename exiting folders as often as I create new folder ones.

Do you still experience the issue with the current version?

I've installed and used v25.10.0100 for one entire evening now, creating dozens of new folders on the NAS drive where the issue would definitely have occurred a few times, but so far it all seems to work fine. Thank you!
