TV3 starts searching as soon as launched

My TV3 (4.00.0117) starts searching as soon as I launch it using the values when I last closed TV3 down.
I don't touch it at all. I get this if I run a shortcut or the TV3 executable direct.
Have I messed up or overlooked some setting in the config file which enables/disables this behavior? If so then how do I get TV3 to launch and not search immediately?

Find mode is remembered between sessions (resp. per INI-file). If you close T4 in find mode it will open again in find mode.

Re-launching in FIND mode is fine. What i find different now is that TV3 actually does and does the last search even though I want to enter a different one.
Could I be doing this through some error at my end?

What exactly are you doing?

I go to C:\program Files\TrackerV3. I double click "trackerv3.exe".
Tracker launches and it starts the last search I tried.
Most be something I messed up in the registry because I uninstalled and reinstalled it (beta 120) and it was ok again.

Certainly not the registry since the app doesn't use it.
Anyway, good it works again.

Soon after you posteed this TV3 started searching automatically again (as soon as it was launched with a folder name specified in the shortcut). I had hoped this would correct itself with a new release but I have tried recent betas and the problem remains.
Guess it is something on may machine? But no otherapplication behaves like this. Very odd.
What I have is a shortcut which runs TV3 and specifies a start directory. TV3's path is in quotes but the start directory name is not. Seems it has to be like this to work.
80% or more of the time TV3 will launch and start searching with the last search value I used.
I have recreated the shortcut in case there was something odd about it but I still get the same result.
Any ideas?

I think you have a better position than me to solve that problem. Look at your files and start thinking. There is no mystery involved. The mode (browse or find) is remembered between sessions, and that's it.
I can just say, that neither me nor apparently any other user seems to experience that issue, resp. to experience it
as an issue.
good luck!

I might be wrong, but since TV3 remember where you were when it was closed, if the last thing you did was a search, when it will start you'll go back to the search results, so the search will be rerun when you start it

I think this is the most likely explanation. But it is a real pain as I use Tracker for its excellent searching ability.
However if I launch it and it starts up and goes into action then it is very distracting and can slow the PC as it uses system power.
Donald, how about a Configuration option to prevent this or allow it as preferred?

it's almost definitely the explanation!
Yeah, I'll make it configurable, wanted to do that anyway.
