xyp creating all thumbs OR just the current screen on windows 10. With directories holding about 3000 files/images - who wants to sit through that kind of creation. In an ideal world - I would like to switch back and forth. I suspect such a key is there in plain sight. Thanks in advance.

No key, but here's the setting: Configuration | Preview | Thumbnails | Create all thumbnails at once

Note that you can always interrupt thumbnail creation by ESC.
