Currently I use a script to re-tag the copied files, but this requires a few extra steps.
Configuration | Information | Tags | Copy tags on copy operations
Configuration | File Operations | File Operations | Miscellaneous | Recreate source folder structure

In addition, if Configuration | Information | Tags | Auto-refresh tags is checked, this status bar message will appear after opening a new tab: Will override the status bar message of some scripts, that prompt is redundant. . .

I want that when using the Recreate source folder structure feature, if the source item is tagged, the copied item will also be tagged.
I can do it via script now, so just asking.

2)When the Auto-refresh tags option is checked, the status bar will display message "tags database reloaded" after the new tab is opened, overwriting the status bar message from the script. Can this message be turned off?

1) Confirmed. That's a bug. Fix comes.

I cannot really reproduce it, but anyway: I think the automatic save ("Save changes to disk immediately") does not really need that status bar message. It's just too much. I'll just remove that message and your issue should be solved as well.

Using fresh 24.40.0207 version, still see message "tags database reloaded", just tick two options:
Configuration | Information | Tags | Auto-refresh tags
Configuration | General | Startup & Exit | Save Settings | Save changes to disk immediately | Tabs
Any way to open a new tab can see that message.

Ah, it was my Admin.ini that was interfering. I see it now!

@Norn: I'm curious why you have that Auto Refresh option enabled anyway, are you actually using a shared db concurrently?
