Not sure if this is a bug with XY or Windows but recently I've been experiencing a strange issue with deleting items. It usually happens on the 'first' delete (eg: after a PC restart, or after I open XY) and then works fine after that but sometimes it also just randomly happens. So, instead of getting a small delete confirmation window, I get a fullscreen one like this:

Crass! Never seen this before. Do you also get it in Explorer?

I've tried several times today in Windows Explorer and no sign of the strange behaviour. I tried a few more deletions just now in XY and there was no problem, so I restarted it and, as per my post, the first deletion produced the maximised window.

Totally amazed. AFAIK, there is no way to maximize the window. Are you using any 3rd party skins?

No I didn't think there was any way to maximise the window, either. No, I'm not using any 3rd party skins.

I still have this problem. It's only ever the first delete after opening XY. I never have it happen when deleting using Windows Explorer or with a fresh instance of XY - which makes me wonder what could be going on in my XY configuration that might cause this.

Me too. Let me know if you find out. Only you can know the difference between factory and custom.

Hi Don, I did a clean install, copied most of the Data subfolders and dat files from the old version to the clean version, and made as many config changes as I absolutely needed to match my old version. Then I opened both the old and clean xyplorer.ini files in a text editor and copied a few settings that hadn't been changed via config. Now the clean install runs perfectly fine with no sign of that strange delete behaviour so I have no idea what was causing it. However, if I replace the new ini with the old ini, the problem is back so I can only assume it was something in the xyplorer.ini file. Not much help I know but it seems that, at the very least, it wasn't caused by Windows.
