Thumbnails are regenerating, despite already being generated after version update

Hello,
I used version 22.10 and updated to 24.40. After the update all the image thumbnails are being regenerated. No change in the settings. "Cache path" is the same. Yet Xyplorer doesn't see the already generated thumbnails.
Can this be fixed? Or is this just how it works with the update?

Refer to beta v23.50.0012 - 2022-08-14 16:14 and the beta notes
viewtopic.php?p=201762#p201762 The binary "dat2" cache files were change to classic text "ini" files. That's why your thumbnails are being rewritten.

Theoretically the upgrade should run smoothly without any regenerating. Something else must have gone wrong.

I had to regenerate all of my thumbnails...though I may have jumped the gun on that or maybe it was something else concerning the new ini format and my maintenance script.
Since urka was using such an old version, maybe he should have updated to an intermediate version first when dat2 files were still supported.

16:14, but still supported till v23.80.0205 - 2022-12-13 18:55) are not compatible
anymore with the new internal thumbnails structures introduced with v23.80.0206 -
2022-12-14 16:10, and the support ends here.
