It works fine with jpg files. It won't work with pdf files. I have tried every setting under under preview. And I tried different default pdf readers, Acrobat and Edge.

I am using windows11 64 bit on an Intel NUC13.

It worked on my last PC so not sure what the problem is.

I would really appreciate any ideas to get this to work.

Do you get thumbnails for PDF?

yes there are thumbnails for the files

for the pdf files, yes

Where exactly does your mouse go down?

What "view" are you in when you're trying to blow up the PDFs? Are you in a list or details view or in a thumbnail view? If in a details or list view, do you have "Enable blow ups on file icons as well" checked in Configuration for "Mouse Down Blow-up"?

Yes, I tried with a fresh instance...I rebooted PC etc... only thing I haven't tried is reinstalling the software....

Forget it, reinstalling the software does not change anything. XY is fully portable.

I can't understand why it doesn't work. Is it the same with MDBU on the thumbnails?

sorry, are icons and thumbnails not the same thing? Assuming they are, I get the same results with MDBU...

Can you show a screenshot of the whole situation (complete XYplorer window)?

I'm seeing similar behavior. Hovering over the file icon presents this: I have the info pane at the bottom and the Preview tab shows a preview of the PDF. Double-clicking the file name opens in in Foxit Reader.
Mouse-down on the file name or the icon does not bring up a preview.
