For me this feature doesn't no longer work.
I have to click on the arrows to get a drop down with the contents.
In the previous version I only had to hover over a dir name in the Breadcrumb bar
and the contents where shown.

Yep, something stopped working. Next time it will work again.

Btw. is there any trick to directly enter one of the dirs shown by the hoverbox ?

Nope, HB is just for looking. Use Breadcrumb Bars | Drop Menu on Hover.

I hope it's ok if I join your discussion - as I seem to struggle with the same issue: that "Drop on Hover" is not working.
Just to avoid any misunderstandings: we're talking about automatically opening the menu as the mouse hovers over the separator, right? How can I enable it?

BTW, I also did not see that item that Don mentioned "Breadcrumb Bars | Drop Menu on Hover." in the settings - but then that was 2wks ago, so maybe things have changed...

It's in the right-click menu of the Breadcrumb Bar.
