strange ْxy calculates size of the Windows folder before calculates current folder. I guess it calculates the entire drive because it takes much time
does not happen in a fresh instance

I doubt that one of these settings is responsible for this behavior

I'll post my test with beta 23.90.0203 If I delete the pane folder and start XY. this message no longer appears in status bar

I delete this folder <xydata>\Panes which all panes here by defualt

by the way in the tooltip the Name: is shown twice.

I mean: is your second pane pointing to C:\Windows ?

Yes, XY calculates the path of second pane even it is not visible
i changed it to E:\ and now the message is getting size of E:\

Well, XY does what you tell it to do. You maybe should cache your folder sizes...

So why this message does not appear in a fresh instance?
after several experiments, I found Apply list styles globally [Styles] is the culprit.
apply it after fresh install and the message will began to show
exit xy, delete <xydata>\Panes and the calculate folder size will return to act normal

But that is not the only setting you change in a fresh instance? What other things did you change?

It is the only setting. I kept trying until I reached this result

I don't get it. Folder Size Calculation is not triggered just by changing this setting.

you tried [show Folder Sizes] on Size column menu ?
