EatAlienMouseDown tweak appears to have no effect?

Reading the recent changelog, I thought I would have to enable the tweak EatAlienMouseDown=1 in order to not lose the recent improvements made to selection in the List. But as far as I can tell, enabling that tweak is not necessary because whether I set that tweak to 0 or 1, no difference is made. I think the only thing that's different now is that when clicking on things in the List after a toolbar menu has been opened, the click is no longer eaten (but that is the case now no matter whether the tweak is 0 or 1). What am I missing?

With EatAlienMouseDown=1 everything is exactly as it was before the tweak was added. Just tested it again. Works.

It's so bizarre how everything you and I do is always unreproducible by the other.

Anyway, I'm glad you've found that by setting EatAlienMouseDown=0 for your own use you've been able to satisfy yourself that something changed and that something works better for you now. Perhaps we can call it a placebo tweak. After all, even in the medical industry, placebos can have a powerful effect, based on nothing but what the patient believes.

I have also used the placebo tweak, except I have set mine to EatAlienMouseDown=1. Together, we can both share in the belief that something happened.

I like "placebo tweak" but this isn't one. :)
