Xyplorer not opening

I recently tried and bought and everything worked fine.
Today xyp hung up, I killed it from win task manager. Then it was not opening anymore, when clicking on a folder. Restart System, still nothing.
But in Task Manager there is a process (XYPlorer (32 Bit)) started for each folder that I open (my xyp is set to use multiple windows), which is using a little CPU.
The only setting I changed before the crash was deactivating "middle mouse button opens new tab with file in focus".

What to do? I have already customized my xyp quite a bit.
Should I try a reinstall?
Are all my settings stored in C..\AppData\Roaming\XYplorer\XYplorer.ini and can I just replace that after the new installation?

Win10 64

Thanks

Why? It has tabs. What is your way to work? How do you open new folders?

Before answering your questions: It works again.
I did nothing to the machine, just left it running. Noticed, that my windows keyboard shortcuts were also gone for a while, they work again.
Can't say why.

Yes it has tabs, but I prefer to use individual Windows sometimes - so I activated the setting to open an extra window per folder. Just a habit, tabs probably more efficient.

Mostly I open folder from a program called Everything. In this case just for testing I just opened Folders that were on the desktop, or shortcuts that are on the desktop.

So for now, I'll consider the problem solved.

Just be aware that changes you make to XY settings with multiple windows open (all using the same ini file I assume) can get lost if you're not diligent with your save settings options and habits.
