I have already posted related questions but I can't get a solution
On a fresh instance of XY (latest, but old ones have the same issue), I check
Configuration | Information | File Info Tips & Hover Box | Show Hover Box
When hovering the icon I get (bad, all blurry) The preview window displays the following (good, crisp) This picture was taken with a NIKON D5100 camera and is "out of the box".
Only jpg files are affected, tif and png are OK.

Can anyone using W7 reproduce (seems to be working fine on W10) ?

Hi Daniel,

Config > Preview > Preview > Auto-rotate preview < Uncheck that.

It's the EXIF data causing the issue.

Thank you for checking, and telling me I'm not the only one out there having this issue with a fresh XY.
I did try your workaround and it indeed solves the problem.
I understand your explanation about the EXIF data (I did some checking).
My problem is that I want to auto-rotate preview
In fact preview works fine, option checked or not, only the hover box is affected (when dealing with landscape photos)
