Hi, I am syncing tags (XYplorer file tag.dat) using Dropbox between my computers. I have set up a new PC with Windows 11. This sync has worked very well for me for the last couple of years.
When you install Windows 11, you are required to login with an MS email and Windows uses the first 5 characters of that email as the user folder name without asking. I have created a symlink from the old name to the new one as many of my scripts use the old folder name. Also, I read that renaming the Windows user folder is generally not a good idea.
Old folder (symlinked): C:\Users\Kostas
New folder: C:\Users\kosta
Due to this XYplorer cannot see the tags on the Windows 11 PC. I am wondering whether tagging files under symlinks in Windows 11 can show up at the regular non-symlinked folder. Is this an XYplorer feature?
I have seen a related post about 7 years ago on this issue.
Thank you!

Re: Tags on files under symlinks
Good point, but currently it's not possible, and it would not be that easy to make it possible (with good speed).
