Why whatever view settings i use in XY, .lnk overlay arrow icon is bigger in size/style than in Win explorer view?
Is there some way to fix it or maybe even change/hide the arrow overlay?

So what is the reason lnk overlays in XY are always bigger than in Win, and if there is a way to change that size or maybe even change the arrow?

I'm aware of this and find it weird as well. I've tried many times and read all about it, but this is the best I could do.

You can hide them:
Configuration | General | Refresh, Icons, History | Icons | Show shortcut overlays

Thank you, don't know how i missed that option, looks at least better.

Don't know why i didn't ask this before, but if XY can hide LNK overlay arrow, maybe XY can change it via custom icons?

Not in hurry, but would be cool to see on board, indeed.

As folders get special icons for states, i hope it's proper time to remind about icon for shortcuts(small arrow sign). Maybe it can be added?

You're probably not interested in this approach, but you can change that overlay icon for the OS, and although I haven't tested it, I would assume it would then also apply to XY. It will require an OS restart.
