Yes! And that's why I've asked him to reconsider changing it.

hi! 1) if using ublock origin, you can remove the forum favicon complete or 2) change it to whatever you want.

1) to remove completely, open ublock origin settings / my filters / add this line :

Code: Select all

/favicon.ico$image,domain=xyplorer.com
2) to change it to whatever you like, if using firefox, use this simple addon :
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... nd-favicon
with the extension, you only need to add the Rule Name, URL Regular Expression and select the icon you want to use.

i use option 1 and blocked the favicon for the entire domain :

Damn, people are super-obsessed with icons, even if it's just a tab... :veryconfused:

Only when not logged in, Don. Once a user logs in the icon changes.

As mentioned above, only if your board style is set to "prosilver".

Oh geez, sorry, I totally misread that. So which of the other two board options would you recommend?

Thanks. You said you "prefer we_universal) to get the black/orange logo back". It didn't work for me. When I changed to that one, I got the blue icon.

I said "I prefer we_universal but it still has the blue logo" thus Don would need to change the logo for the other board styles.
Currently the only board style with the black/orange logo is prosilver.

Oops sorry, you actually didn't say 'but it still has the blue logo' so that's where my confusion was.
RalphM wrote: 30 Dec 2022 00:41 but there should also be a solution for the other board styles (I prefer we_universal) to get the black/orange logo back.
But it doesn't matter which board style is chosen because the issue I'm pointing out is that the logo is blue when logged out, and board styles aren't applied until after logging in. Logging seems to be automatic so each day I come to the forum I'm logged out and my bookmark favicon automatically changes to the blue one as soon as I land on the (logged out) forum page, but doesn't change to the black/orange one after I log in. Seeing as Don doesn't want to change it, I'm just going to have to put my big girl panties on, suck it up and put up with my forum favicon forever being blue :)
