What if the status bar had a smart media section that would depending on the file(s) selected show:
# Dimensions of image files
# Length of audio files
# Total length of selected video & audio files selected
# Length and dimensions of videos
# Dimensions of image files
# Length of audio files
# Total length of selected video & audio files selected
# Length and dimensions of videos
