Is there any way to configure the Home function so that the only thing it handles is the location?
As it is, I'll set a directory as the Home, and as I continue working, I end up reconfiguring the columns and column widths to better suit me. But as soon as I go to Home, those changes are lost. At that point, I have to change everything all over again and then reset the Home location so that it doesn't happen the next time I go to the Home directory.
While some people might find it handy to have all those other options reset as well, I'm hoping that there's a way to disable those extra parameters so that the only thing being set is the current directory. Is this possible?
Is it possible for Home to *only* reset location?

No, but you can define Home again (after you went there by foot) with the new settings (= overwrite the old home definitions).Mesh wrote:Is there any way to configure the Home function so that the only thing it handles is the location?

That's what I have been doing thus far. I was simply wondering if I was doing this needlessly.
I admit that I'm curious whether other people deliberately use the additional parameters, or if they also use the Home function solely for the location.
