thumbnail cache location

I have set the cache path in the config to a particular folder, but this folder remains empty.
How can I find where the cache is located?
I'm using XYplorer 23.10

If you are currently showing cached thumbnails, then this script (paste into Address Bar and press ENTER) will show you the full path to the cache file:

I pasted in the code, but all I got was a window that opened saying "echo"

I've seen a lot in this forum, so let me ask: You did see the condition "If you are currently showing cached thumbnails..."?

How do I know whether they are cached? That's what I'm trying to find out. I thought I would start by looking for the cache.

Yes, I have this ticked.
And I have the folder for the cache defined. But it is empty.

Presumably there is a default path and filename for the cache? If so, does anyone know what it is?

As I have explained, I set the cache path, but there is nothing there.
My problem is that what is in the settings doesn't seem to correspond to what I can see in the configured thumbnail folder.
I'm not sure what " <xythumbs> " means.

Can you explain this? What default path does this represent? I.e., assuming the installation is by default on C:\ what is the path?
