Pressing Escape in Quick File Preview window switches you to another app

1. Open two applications: your browser (or a text editor) and XYplorer

2. Create the following text file:

Code: Select all

aaa

bbb

aaa
3. Select this file and press Ctrl+Q to open the Quick File Preview window
4. Press Ctrl+F, type aaa and then press Enter to find the first aaa string
5. You have found what you have searched for. Now press the Escape button. You have probably expected that it will simply close the Find Text window, but it also closes the Quick File Preview window and even worse, it also switches you to the second app, that is, the browser.
5. You have found what you have searched for. Now press the Escape button. You have probably expected that it will simply close the Quick File Preview window, but it also switches you to the second app, that is, the browser.

Win7 SP1 and XYplorer 22.90.0100

What if you untick Configuration | Preview | Preview | Quick file view | Modeless dialog?

This fixes the problem. However, I think this is still a bug. :-)

I should also correct myself. The step 5 in the first post should be worded as follows:
5. You have found what you have searched for. Now press the Escape button. You have probably expected that it will simply close the Quick File Preview window, but it also switches you to the second app, that is, the browser.
I have edited it.

Yes, it's a bug and it's fixed in the next beta.
